Adobe Photoshop with MacBook Pro Touch Bar support now available as Project Felix enters beta
Adobe demoed a new version of Photoshop that works with the MacBook Pro’s new dynamic Touch Bar back at Apple’s event in October, and starting today customers can update to gain the new feature. Project Felix which was shown off at Adobe Max last month is also now available in beta.

Apple warns of counterfeit power adapters and batteries following lawsuit
Following a lawsuit revealed back in October in which Apple exposed an issue with a large percentage of fake Apple adapters being marketed as “genuine” online, today the company has posted an official warning to customers.
The message, posted on the front page of the company’s support webpage, warns customers that counterfeit power adapters and batteries could pose safety issues. The company also offers customers that might have had a recent battery replacement the option to bring in their devices to an Apple Store or authorized service provider to check if the battery is genuine:

AirPods ship dates now pushed back to 2017 after initial orders, stores to receive ‘regular shipments’
After being delayed for just over a month, Apple’s new AirPods became available to purchase for the first time today with deliveries estimated for as early as Monday. Customers who didn’t order during the initial hour likely won’t see AirPods until 2017 as shipping estimates have already climbed to 4 weeks out.

Snapchat launches group chats, plus a tool to turn Snaps into stickers
Snapchat has added a new group chat feature, enabling you to chat with up to 16 friends at once. Simply called Groups, you can access it when starting a new chat or sending a Snap. The company says you can quickly & easily switch between group and individual chats.

Following AirPods launch, BeatsX wireless earphones now delayed until February
So there’s good news and bad news. Apple’s new wireless AirPods are now available to order with deliveries scheduled for as soon as December 19, but Apple’s new BeatsX models won’t be released until later next year as recently rumored.

Tim Cook 11th best-value CEO, behind Alphabet and China Mobile – Bloomberg
Bloomberg has listed Tim Cook as the 11th best-value CEO in a ranking of the world’s largest companies. The company based its rankings on a comparison of pay against profits averaged over three years.
Calculations of total pay factor in salary, bonuses, stock/options/incentives, retirement plans and miscellaneous payments. Cook’s total remuneration last year was just under $10.3M, against average AAPL profits of $22B.
While impressive, it wasn’t enough to put Cook into the top 10 …

The AirPods are now available to buy from Apple’s Online Store, with delivery before Christmas. After many delays, originally announced to ship in October, Apple’s truly-wireless headphones are finally on sale. Following loss of Apple business, Samsung planning to spin off chip-making division
Samsung is said to be considering spinning off its chipmaking division in response to losing Apple’s A-Series chip business.
Apple’s A-series chip orders for iPhones and iPads used to be split between Samsung and TSMC, but Apple dropped Samsung for the A10 chip in the iPhone 7 and is reported to be doing the same for the A11 chip in next year’s iPhone …
