Google has made its Featured Photos screensaver – previously limited to Pixel, Chromecast and Google Fiber devices – available on the Mac. Apple iPhone is the most popular gift on 2016 Christmas holiday wish lists, according to survey

Apple’s brand continues to dominate mindshare for the festive season, according to a survey by Piper Jaffray. The company holds the top two spots for most wanted gift this holiday season with both iPhone and MacBook far ahead of any other product category.

Apple Pay’s fate in Australia remains unclear as banks are denied request to negotiate with Apple

Apple Pay’s rollout in Australia has been hindered since the start as local banks have pleaded to have access to the NFC hardware in the iPhone so existing mobile payment services can be used alongside Apple Pay.

Now, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has rejected a proposal from a handful of big Australian banks that would have allowed them to negotiate with Apple, according to the Australian site ABC News

AT&T’s DirecTV Now streaming TV service officially unveiled: launching November 30 from $35/month

AT&T has officially unveiled details about its upcoming streaming TV service called DirecTV Now. The company first announced the subscription video service back in March, promising “on-demand and live programming from many networks, plus premium add-on options” over the Internet similar to Sling TV and PlayStation Vue. Details on pricing and availability have been limited until now.
