Hands-on: TouchSwitcher brings fast app switching to the MacBook Pro Touch Bar [Video]

A new MacBook Pro Touch Bar-oriented app called TouchSwitcher is now available for free download. The app’s premise is simple: it allows you to quickly bring to focus any running app via a tap of the app’s icon displayed in the Touch Bar.

Pokémon Go releases tweaked ‘Nearby’ tracker in parts of the US & Canada, all of Australia

Pokémon Go’s popularity has significantly declined since its summer release. Most updates have been minor, with Niantic hosting in-game events that let players collect more points. While a ‘Nearby’ feature has been highly requested, the current revision that’s now seeing a wider rollout has also been significantly curbed.

Feature Request: Allow users to add spacers into the macOS dock without using a Terminal hack

With many of us having new Macs here or on the way, it’s a good time to do some housekeeping: tidying up your existing Mac ready for a restore from Time Machine, or to think about how you want to organize your new machine if setting it up from scratch. (Cue comments war on which is the better approach …)

One thing I do is a periodic rejig of my dock, to ensure it contains the apps I use most frequently, and to keep them in some kind of logical order.
