One of the standout features of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is the improved camera. The devices went up of preorder last Friday and officially hit store shelves this coming Friday. Ahead of the public release of the device, Sports Illustrated has went hands-on with the iPhone 7 Plus to snap pictures from the sideline of the Titans-Vikings NFL game today.

Apple has fully autonomous vehicles on closed routes, but is rebooting its Car project again
Apple’s car plans appear to have hit yet another snag. Tonight the NYTimes is reporting that Apple is again rebooting the now infamous car project.
In a retrenchment of one of its most ambitious initiatives, Apple has shuttered parts of its self-driving car project and laid off dozens of employees, according to three people briefed on the move who were not allowed to speak about it publicly.

PSA: Boost and Virgin USA will carry iPhone 7 + accessories starting September 23
Just a quick PSA for those who like their carrier data cheap and pre-paid: Sprint subsidiaries Boost and Virgin Mobile will be offering the iPhone 7 and accessories starting on September 23rd.
Sprint has been improving its network nationwide aggressively over the past few years and for many it is good enough to use instead of the $100/month “unlimited” plans that AT&T and Verizon offer. Boost unlimited everything plans start at $50/month and drop with on-time payments. Virgin gives you 4GB for $40 with unlimited calling and texting.

KGI: Dual-lens camera to remain exclusive to high-end new iPhone models in 2017, small upgrades expected
KGI Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, citing investor reaction to Apple’s new dual camera feature, is predicting that the module will remain exclusive to high-end iPhone models for next year’s anniversary release. Further, he expects high end iPhone Plus models to represent 30-40% of the total iPhone sales.
The investor note, which makes reference to a general belief that all the new iPhone models will come with a dual-camera module in 2017 as a trickle-down effect, places doubt on the possibility of the dual camera being adopted in non-Plus iPhones.

The 9to5Mac team’s favorite wireless headphones for the iPhone 7
Without a doubt the biggest consumer-facing news from Apple’s September event yesterday was the removal of the iPhone’s headphone jack. This “courageous” move is seen to help push forward wireless audio technology, all the while giving Apple a few more millimeters to work with in the device’s internals.
Not without controversy, this decision does mean leaving a lot of wired headphones in the dust.
