Siri will soon pronounce Barbra Streisand’s name correctly after she complained to Tim Cook
Barbra Streisand’s name may be known by many for her world-renowned singing and acting career but it turns out Siri has always pronounced her name incorrectly, since its launch in 2011. In an interview with NPR, Streisand voiced her dissatisfaction about this publicly for the first time. Rather than using the correct soft ‘s’ sound for the middle of her surname, Siri announces her name using a ‘z’ pronunciation.
Apparently, this has bugged the celebrity since Siri launched and she has finally made a stink about it. She called Apple CEO Tim Cook directly and he ‘delightfully’ agreed to update Siri to use the correct pronunciation in a forthcoming update.

It’s just ten days since I pointed to a Microsoft security leak as proof of my point that any iPhone master key created by Apple would inevitably fall into the wrong hands in time – and even more powerful support for that position now exists.
It was revealed last week that powerful hacking tools created by the NSA have been leaked, and are now being auctioned to the highest bidder. Christopher Soghoian, Principal Technologist with the Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project at the American Civil Liberties Union, summarised that argument in a single tweet.

Apple reportedly among companies that held potential acquisition talks with Lyft
While Apple made a $1 billion investment in Chinese ride-hailing service Didi Chuxing earlier this year, it apparently also held talks with Lyft, another popular car request service, regarding an acquisition. According to a report from the New York Times, Lyft has recently held discussions with handful of companies to discuss a possible acquisition, with Apple being one of them.

Apple issues iOS 10 beta 7 for developers + public beta 6 for testers
