Another alleged iPhone 7 leak, this time on video
The iPhone 7 leaks keep coming. Earlier today the latest alleged spy shots showed what appeared to be fully assembled devices, which are most likely the clones based on leaked designs that often surface ahead of a new iPhone launch. Now, a video from unknown sources on Chinese website Weibo (via techtastic.nl) shows a similar design to previous leaks.

Review: Scrivener for iOS app is finally out next week, and it’s worth the wait
As a writing tool, Scrivener may be a niche app, but it has a fan-base almost unlike any other app I know. For those unfamiliar with it, it’s an app written by a writer for writers. You can read my review of the Mac app here, but I’ll save time by including my summary here.
What Scrivener does is bring together in one place all the resources you are likely to need to plan, research, write and either submit or self-publish a novel. Outlines, pen-portraits of characters, offline copies of web pages, photos, notes, PDFs … absolutely anything and everything that might help you create your opus magnum is right there all within a single app …
I wouldn’t dream of writing a novel in anything else, and many other writers say the same. Almost everyone I know who has tried it has said that there’s no going back.
There was, though, one major problem with Scrivener: the lack of an iOS app …

How-To: Understand the Wireless Diagnostics app on your Mac to analyze and improve your Wi-Fi network
Apple ships a little-known utility app that helps you analyze and diagnose your Wi-Fi connection, called Wireless Diagnostics. Open the app by option-clicking on the Wi-Fi indicator in the menu bar and select ‘Open Wireless Diagnostics …’. Although the app contains a lot of useful information, it isn’t intuitively clear what you are supposed to do with it.

Major US Aerospace company bans Pokémon Go from phones after distracted employee almost suffers injury
With Pokemon Go encouraging millions of users to walk around and catch Pokémon throughout the day, its popularity has also caused disruption to public venues and businesses. Several museums have already had to send out announcements banning the use of the game out of respect. We received an amusing tip from a reader that a major aerospace company in the US has also blacklisted the game on its work phones.

Apple celebrates Bastille Day with clever ‘Shot on iPhone’ imagery representing the French flag
Apple is celebrating Bastille Day on its homepage with a clever twist on the usual Shot on iPhone campaign. The Apple France homepage displays a series of blue, white and red images formatted to look like the French flag. It’s a clever way to incorporate a Bastille Day commemoration, which signifies the start of the French Revolution on 14 July 1789, and demo the photographic capabilities of the iPhone. The images are credited with the names of the people that took them.
