Apple’s CarPlay set to return in Honda’s 2017 Accord next week

Honda was noticeably slow to the CarPlay scene despite being committed from day one to support Apple’s infotainment feature in 2014. The automaker eventually delivered with CarPlay in the 2016 Accord and Civic, and 2017 Ridgeline, and today Honda announced CarPlay will be returning in the 2017 Accord, one of the most popular cars on the road. Honda’s new Accord is hitting showroom floors on Monday and will start at $22,355.

The 2017 Accord carries over the expanded LED exterior lighting and premium features and technologies of the 2016 model, including the available 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen offered with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, HD Radio®, heated rear seats, and front and rear parking sensors.

2017 Apple Watch reportedly switching to Micro-LED screen technology, away from OLED panels

According to the latest story by Digitimes, Apple will reportedly be moving away from OLED screen technology for Apple Watch … at the same time as the iPhone 8 (for 2o17, iPhone 7 will continue to use LCD) adopts OLED. The supply chain source says Apple is instead developing Micro LED panels for Apple Watch, to debut in late 2017.

Adele does U-turn, allows ’25’ album to stream on Apple Music & other services

Adele said last year that her long-awaited follow-up album ’25’ would not be available for streaming, telling Time magazine that ‘music should be an event’ and streaming was ‘a bit disposable.’ However, Billboard revealed that she had now changed her mind, and the album is indeed available to stream today on Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, Google Play and other services.

BitTorrent announces new BitTorrent Now app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV

BitTorrent today has announced that it is bringing a new app to the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV that allows users to stream a variety of videos and music, mostly from independent and generally unknown artists and filmmakers. The app doesn’t let you access the insurmountable amount of illegal content available on various torrent sites, but rather on-demand streaming content that’s perfectly legal.
