Luca Todesco, better known around iOS hacking circles as qwertyoruiop, has released a video showcasing an iOS 9.3.2 jailbreak. The jailbreak, which is performed on a sixth-generation iPod touch, is performed in a style that’s similar to Comex’s famous JailbreakMe release for iOS 4.3.3 and below.

While it’s highly unlikely that this jailbreak release will ever see the light of day, the video is fairly convincing, and Todesco is a well-known hacker who has the credentials that lend to the video’s validity. more…

You wouldn’t know it from looking at the Twitter iOS app update’s release notes but last night’s update allows for 3D Touch Peek and Pop features on iPhone 6s/Plus. As Twitter puts it:

According to a report this evening from Tech Insider, Jawbone, the company once famous for its Bluetooth headsets and more recently known for its Jambox speakers and fitness wearables, has stopped making the UP line of fitness trackers. This includes three devices that the company has reportedly struggled to sell: the UP2, UP3, and UP4. Another report says that a clinical-grade wearable is coming soon…

Amazon was first with its Echo Wi-Fi speaker — a dedicated, standalone hub for its Alexa virtual assistant software — and now word has it Apple is working on a similar product for Siri. The several reports this week detailing Apple’s plans followed Google’s unveiling of its competitive Home hardware and Assistant platform at its Google I/O developer conference earlier this month. Earlier this week it was reported that Apple may announce a Siri SDK and Amazon Echo-like Siri speaker at WWDC next month. The software development kit would allow developers to integrate apps with the voice assistant, and a Siri speaker would compete with Amazon’s Alexa and the upcoming Google Home. Adding to the rumors, a new report suggests this product may not be available until sometime next year, but could feature cameras with facial recognition features that stand out from Amazon’s and Google’s products.
