How to limit adult content and block private browsing in Safari on iPhone and iPad

Apple offers various parental control features for iPhone and iPad with the Restrictions settings. You can block access to some system apps altogether, like making it impossible to launch Safari, but there are also more fine-grained controls to restrict younger users from freely surfing the web.

The iPhone and iPad include a website content filter that can automatically detect explicit and adult content not suitable for younger viewers and prevent access to those pages. You can also block private browsing completely and prevent browsing history from being deleted, disabling the ability to activate the incognito feature. Full how-to instructions after the jump …

Hyper unveils USB-C hub w/ built-in 7.5W Qi wireless charger & stand [Video]

Hyper today unveiled its latest product during CES 2018 with the introduction of the new HyperDrive 8-in-1 USB-C Hub + 7.5W Qi Wireless Charger and iPhone Stand. As you might have guessed from the name, the accessory combines a USB-C hub for your Mac with a desktop wireless charging stand for your iPhone in a single compact package. Not only that, but it also claims to be the world’s fastest 7.5W wireless charger for iPhone allowing to charge, for example, an Phone X from empty to full in under 3 hours.

Alpine unveils first 9-inch CarPlay head unit with floating design fit for most cars

Alpine introduced a Jeep-specific CarPlay in-dash system with a 9-inch display back in 2016, and now at CES 2018 the company has unveiled a new version that fits most cars. Aftermarket CarPlay displays are typically limited to 6.1-inches or 7-inches to fit standard dashes, but Alpine’s 9-inch unit called iLX-F309, or HALO9 for short, uses a floating design to bring the bigger screen to more cars.
