Live game show app HQ Trivia has taken the world by storm in recent weeks, climbing App Store charts and attracting over 400,000 viewers during peak streams. Not wanting to miss out on the trend, competing apps are beginning to spring up. One of the more notable offerings comes from a co-founder of the former viral app Yik Yak, and is about to leave beta on the App Store.

Live mobile streaming of NFL games available on all carriers from 2018 playoffs onwards

There’s good news for NFL fans today, as live mobile streaming of games will now be available on all carriers, not just Verizon. The new arrangement begins in January.

The partnership kicks off in January 2018 with streaming of the NFL playoffs on Yahoo and Yahoo Sports, in addition to go90 and the NFL mobile app.

In addition to the expanded availability of live games, the new agreement will provide fans mobile access to NFL highlights [and] coverage of NFL throughout the week and year.

Apple asks SEC for authority to skip shareholder proposals on climate change & human rights

Apple’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place early next year, and as usual some proposals have been put forward by activist shareholders. They want the meeting to debate and vote on climate change and human rights issues.
