Should you buy AppleCare+ for your iPhone X? It depends
Deciding whether or not to buy AppleCare+ with Apple products can be a tough decision, and the $999-$1149 price of the iPhone X doesn’t make the decision any easier. The cost of AppleCare+ increased for pricier iPhones, but so did the repair costs for out-of-warranty damage.
No one wants to get stuck with a huge out-of-pocket fee to repair a busted iPhone X, although it’s worth considering the math before buying or passing on AppleCare+ for iPhone X.

DJI offers limited edition Alpine White Mavic Pro drone as Apple Store exclusive

Right before the start of the holiday season, DJI has introduced an Alpine White Limited Edition Mavic Pro, exclusively available at Apple Stores and Apple’s website in most countries or at the DJI store starting November 16th. The Mavic Pro Alpine White will be offered as a holiday combo which includes a remote controller, two extra Intelligent Flight Batteries, two additional pairs of propellers and an aircraft sleeve, at a US retail price of $1,049. The Mavic already was our favorite drone, but I have to say that it looks very sharp in Alpine White.
Apple takes fourth place in global laptop shipments in Q3, thanks to new MacBook Pro models
According to TrendForce, Apple managed to secure the fourth spot in global shipments of laptops in the third quarter. Apple notebook sales beat the market in quarterly growth; MacBook sales increased 11% whilst the market rose 7% overall.
The analysts believe Apple shipped 4.43 million Mac laptops in total across July, August, and September. Apple benefited from the launch of the 2017 MacBook Pro refresh ahead of the busy back-to-school season.
Early testing shows 7.5W ‘fast’ wireless charging has small effect on Qi charging speed
The iOS 11.2 betas include support for faster 7.5 watt wireless charging; the current public releases of iOS 11 limit iPhone 8 and iPhone X to 5W Qi wireless charging only. However, what is the practical impact of this change? Early testing shows that the improvements in charging speed using a 7.5 W charger is very slight.
