iPhone X orders start shipping for tomorrow’s launch

Apple has started updating customers with Apple Store orders that their launch day iPhone X units are now shipping.

Dispatch notifications for iPhone orders are slightly meaningless (the phone has already been working its way through plane freight and delivery couriers at this point), but it’s still fun to get the official confirmation.

Instagram’s Stories feature hits 300M daily active users, nearly double the size of Snapchat

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg announced on the company’s earnings call today that Instagram’s Snapchat Stories competitor now has 300 million daily active users. WhatsApp’s version of the feature, called ‘Status,’ has also now has 300 million daily active users, according to Zuckerberg. Morgan Stanley: iPhone X could be the grinch that steals all the money during holiday shopping

There’s been a lot of noise about the iPhone X’s price point. The device is Apple’s most expensive iPhone to date, starting at $999. While the device is widely expected to help Apple increase its iPhone average selling price, a new analyst report from Morgan Stanley’s Kate Huberty explains the effect that the device could have on other markets during the holiday season.

GarageBand 2.3 adds new Sound Library, Beat Sequencer, Instruments, iPhone X support & more

We are getting a major update to Apple’s free iOS music production suite today. GarageBand was already considered to be one of, if not the best, DAW’s available to mobile music makers, and now it’s getting even better. With today’s update, Apple is focusing almost solely on content and we couldn’t be happier. While there are enhancements and minor improvements across the board here, it’s all about new sounds, instruments, beat creation and making sure it all fits perfectly on the edge-to-edge iPhone X Super Retina display.
