Good news for passengers flying Delta: the airline is enabling free in-flight iMessage use on most flights starting Sunday. That means you can use your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to send and receive those blue messages without paying up for data. Delta says the new complimentary in-flight messaging perk, which also includes WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, is part of a “multi-billion dollar investment in the customer experience.”

Despite an awkward start to the original content scene with Planet of the Apps and Carpool Karaoke, Apple appears to be getting serious with its next TV series. Apple poached two Sony Television executives — Jamie Ehrlicht and Zack Van Amburg — back in June, and a new report says the duo has been shopping for high profile TV talent including Breaking Bad veterans.

We’ve made quite a few feature requests, some of them for important things – like an option to automatically reply to text messages while driving, which Apple granted in iOS 11. Or for broader themes, like helping us with our personal goals.

Other times, we’ve asked for very small things, but ones we think would contribute to a better all-round experience when using our Apple products. Whether it’s multiple timers, identifying where Mac audio alerts are coming from or a way to transfer FaceTime calls between devices.

This request is so small it might seem too trivial to bother with, but it is an issue that annoys me on a regular basis …

After rumblings back in the spring, Comcast is officially rolling out its new XFINITY Instant TV bundle for broadband customers today. Plans start at $18 per month as the cable giant looks to retain cord-cutters that are becoming increasingly dependent on services like Hulu, Netflix and others. Comcast’s new skinny bundle IPTV will only be available to select customers at launch in beta, with additional markets rolling out over time. The WSJ has now backed a supply-chain report that poor 3D sensor yields were delaying mass production of the iPhone X.

Yesterday’s report said that Apple’s suppliers were hitting significant yield issues with the 3D sensors used in the TrueDepth camera module of the iPhone X. The problems were said to be so severe that production was being measured in the tens of thousands of units per day …
