Analyst says Apple has upper hand on Samsung now more than ever
A note today from Drexel Hamilton’s analyst Brian White via Business Insider shares that he believes “Apple has Samsung on the ropes like never before in recent memory.” The competition between the two companies has been intense for years, but there are four factors he believes will help Apple solidify its lead this year.

Apple cut ties with server vendor after potential security issues were found
A new report today from The Information shares that Apple found potential security issues with at least one server early last year. Apple purchased the server from Super Micro Computer and was used to help power its web services and also contained customer information.

AirPlay on a budget: Affordable wireless speakers with Apple’s AirPlay technology built-in
AirPlay is one of my favorite Apple technologies. The feature allows you to wirelessly stream content over WiFi, whether it be via your Apple TV or streaming audio via a standalone speaker. Either way, AirPlay fixes some of the common flaws plaguing wirelessly streaming content with Bluetooth.

Apple reportedly set to open first Argentina retail store next year in Buenos Aires
According to a new report from Gizmodo, Apple plans to continue its slow Latin America expansion with a new store in Argentina. The store comes following Apple’s first Latin American store in Brazil 3 years ago, which was followed by a new store in Mexico City last year.

Apple’s classic iTunes Remote app updated with 2FA support for Home Sharing
Apple has updated its classic iTunes Remote app for iOS with two-factor authentication support when signing in to Home Sharing. This lets you use stronger security on your Apple ID and iCloud account and makes iTunes Remote prompt you for 2FA when someone attempts to sign in.
