Would you buy a new Apple TV if the only upgrade was 4K support? [Poll]

Earlier this week, a report emerged claiming that Apple is developing a new version of its Apple TV with support for 4K. The report noted that the refreshed model could launch as soon as this year. It’s unclear at this point if Apple has plans for any other feature additions to the Apple TV alongside 4K support, though several other things have been rumored.

Apple-backed trade association pledges support for energy storage legislation

For strategy we’ve naturally tackled the two most important priorities first, getting automatic backups in place and getting a handle on password management (part 1, part 2, and part 3).

Before we move on to other topics like the best ways to navigate a user interface (UI) or shortcuts in macOS and iOS I want to wrap up the first portion of this series with a focus on how to save your information manually.

After showing out for President Trump, Masayoshi Son looks at merging Sprint and T-Mobile

A new Reuters report today shares that SoftBank is willing to hand over control of Sprint to Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile to make a merger happen, according to unnamed sources close to the matter. Discussions haven’t begun yet, but are expected to start in April after the FCC auction of airwaves and anti-collusion ban is over.

With Verizon and AT&T both fighting to keep customers with new unlimited plans this week and 5G networks on the horizon, a merger could be mutually beneficial for Sprint and T-Mobile.

Friday 5: Stagehand, a reverse platformer plus four other apps to try this weekend [Video]

In this week’s edition of Friday 5 we showcase a couple of new games to try this weekend, including Stagehand, a title that places a new twist on the traditional platformer. We also look at Spiraloid, a stomach-turning 3D title that starts off slow, but delivers big fun in later stages.

If games aren’t your thing, then you might consider Parallels Access, a subscription-based app that lets you easily access your Mac from your iPhone or iPad while away from home. There’s also TwIM, a new messaging app based on Twitter DMs.
