How to customize the MacBook Pro Touch Bar, add shortcuts, hide Control Strip, remove Siri button, more

The 2016 MacBook Pro adds a new way of using macOS with the addition of the Touch Bar, featuring dynamic touch controls, sliders and buttons, close to your fingers next to the row of static keys. Depending on the app, the Touch Bar changes context and shows relevant buttons for what you are doing.

Apple spaceship campus interior details: polished concrete ceilings, iPhone-like elevator buttons, flat doorways

There are a few compromises that come along with the $500 ENVY 4K display compared with options like Lenovo’s ThinkVision X1 or LG’s 27UD88-W, but I decided to try HP’s ENVY 27 with price, design, and specs hitting a good portion of my wish list. Keep reading after the break to hear about my first week with this new display.

Popular apps with 18,000,000 combined downloads in the App Store found vulnerable to silent data interception

After scanning through the binary codes of applications in the iOS App Store, Will Strafach’s verify.ly service has detected that 76 popular apps in the store are currently vulnerable to data interception. The interception is possible regardless if App Store developers are using App Transport Security or not. A few months ago, similar vulnerabilities were discovered with Experian and myFICO Mobile’s iOS apps.
