Reported iPhone 8 delays leading analysts to doubt Apple’s guidance, downgrading sales expectations

We’ve heard many reports suggesting that Apple is experiencing significant difficulties with development and production of the iPhone 8/Edition/X. A WSJ report yesterday suggested that Foxconn is trying to recruit additional staff to make up time, but a separate TechCrunch one cited ‘trusted sources’ in stating that shipping will be significantly delayed.

A new report today says that analysts and investors are now starting to doubt Apple’s own guidance for the current quarter …

HomeKit-compatible accessories have been slowly expanding across the market since Apple’s debuted the platform. One of the glaring issues that remain to this day is that finding these accessories can be cumbersome. Although Apple has its own official list, it’s not without delays in showing updates. Comment: How a Twitter hack taught me to take online security seriously

Ask anybody about the importance of online security and data management, and you’ll probably hear similar advice. Back up your files regularly. Don’t use the same weak password everywhere. Enable two-factor authentication. A digital life necessitates a layer of precautions that can be repetitive and even exhausting to maintain. It’s easy to brush off the warnings we’ve all heard hundreds of times because “that’ll never happen to me.” Until it does.

The WSJ describes iPhone 8 production as about a month behind schedule, but claims iPhone maker Foxconn is offering bonuses to employees who can bring in new hires.

Report: iPhone 8 may not ship until October, September 22 launch for 7s and 7s Plus

We’re just five days out from Apple’s September 12 event where the new iPhone lineup will be unveiled, but Japanese blog Macotakara suggests the redesigned iPhone 8 may not reach customers until sometime in October.

This is a possibility that was frequently raised earlier in the year, although recent reports predict all three new iPhones launching at the same time with the high-end model shipping in limited quantities.

Spotify and Hulu now offer an incredible $5 bundle for students

This morning, Spotify and Hulu announced that the two services will now be bundled together for students for $4.99 per month. Considering the streaming music already offers an education-focused plan for the same price, this essentially delivers Hulu for free. We’ve already seen Apple and Amazon both announce aggressive offers for the all important student demographic, so it’s no surprise that Spotify is making this move to remain competitive.
